Origin Story

We started by booking film+video jobs on Craigslist in 2008. We shot for anyone who would hire us. Our first break came when the W Hotel needed a marketing video for two of its hotels. We put everything we had into it. The client loved it. 

Our next break came when we shot a series of brand films for a digital agency. They loved it. It won awards. People wanted to know who made it. Then they hired us. 

In 2014 we became CounterTake. We got a bank account. And Insurance. 

We grew. The cameras grew. Grip trucks replaced pickup trucks. Story took priority.  A producer joined the team. VFX and Color became our specialty. This led to more work.

Today we continue to take risks and push boundaries for our clients.

In December of 2021, we bought a building and are developing it into a boujee commercial production studio with a full post-production space. Steps from the French Quarter in New Orleans. A place where you'll like bringing your clients.
